The problems pharma shipments actually face
This is secondary packaging — the outer carton and pallet wrap around already-compliant primary pharma packaging — but a failure here still causes real, expensive problems.
Secondary packaging, but still consequence-sensitive
PackKaro tape and film wrap the outer carton or pallet — never the primary, product-contact packaging inside. A torn carton or collapsed pallet wrap can still cause real problems even when the primary packaging is untouched.
Impact: Temperature-exposure risk if insulated packaging is compromised, or delivery rejection at a regulated receiving facility.
Cold-chain condensation is a real physical stress
Cartons pulled from cold storage into ambient temperature (e.g. off a reefer truck into a warehouse) experience real surface condensation — a genuine adhesive-performance consideration, not a theoretical one.
Impact: Tape applied straight onto a cold, condensing surface can fail to adhere properly.
Receiving-facility rejection risk
Regulated pharma distribution facilities can reject a shipment for a visibly damaged, re-taped, or non-tamper-evident outer carton — even when the product inside is completely intact.
Impact: Seal integrity and tamper-evidence are a harder requirement here than in most other use cases.

Improvement: 48mm width, water-based acrylic — clean release, tamper-evident, no residue on inspection. Where carton weight calls for 48 micron, that grade is made to order; talk to our team.
Cold-chain cartons taped immediately after leaving cold storage
Business impact: Adhesive applied to a cold, condensation-damp surface can fail to hold.
Improvement: Let surface temperature stabilize before taping where operationally possible, or use a cold-application-rated adhesive — confirm the specific product’s cold-rating against its datasheet first.
Single-strip sealing on pharma-bound cartons
Business impact: Even a small lift or gap in the seal risks rejection at a regulated receiving facility.
Improvement: H-taping as standard, not optional, for pharma-bound cartons — the rejection cost far outweighs the extra tape.
Palletized cold-chain shipments wrapped with standard-gauge film
Business impact: Pallet failure carries a higher consequence in this context than in ordinary freight.
